I could not believe my good fortune while toy hunting this weekend: found were the elusive Imaginext DC Superfriends Batman & Robin w/cycles by Fisher Price! See a video recap of my adventure at my YouTube page!
While I was mistaken in the video about Alex of ToyHaven having an Imaginext Batcave Playset (it was a Mattel Batman Playset), BubbaShelby at Toyriffic toy blog made me sit up & pay attention this past February with his Flash & Hawkman from this series of toys by Fisher Price. As I said in the video, it seems like almost all Robin action figures get bought up quickly, and this cute little guy was no different! I really just lucked out finding the last one , the only one I've seen in the wild at one of my local Toys 'R Us locations. He was $6.99- far better than the $21.00 I saw him for on Amazon, or $15.00 + shipping seen on eBay recently!
This Imaginext Batman w/cycle was scarce in the region as well, though he doesn't fetch as much on the secondary market. He was $6.49 at an area Target store. I passed on him Friday night, but circled back around to grab him Saturday after I found the Robin w/cycle- what a cool pair! Love!
AND... on Friday night, before I even found the Imaginext Batman & Robin, I lucked out and found a Brave & The Bold Aqua Attack Batman, which I had never seen before! I already made a video and shot photos of this killer action figure, which I'll post here next week...
Now, as promised in the video here are some pics from my toyhunt Friday nite/Sat. afternoon- again, the quality of some of the shots aren't the best, I was on the run! First I'll show you some Imaginext stuff, then in another post I'll show you some other DC Universe, Green Lantern Movie Masters, Star Wars, and Marvel toys I found out on the town...click on the image for a larger view!

Oh, c'mon, C... just go out and buy the Imaginext Batcave and Batmobile and get it over with. :) Great toys... for kids but some of the best out there right now. There's a new Killer Croc figure I've seen but haven't picked up yet. There will also be a Catwoman with "Catcycle" and a Clayface that's big enough to eat Batman.
ReplyDeleteGreat video and photos!
...a Catwoman with "Catcycle"?! ... a Clayface that's big enough to eat Batman??! LOVE!
ReplyDeleteAll these toys look so cute!
ReplyDeleteGREAT GREAT post (two thumbs up!) and video too (thanks for the mention, BTW). How I would love to get my hands on that Villain Robot! You're right about how jealous and green with envy we are over here in this side of the world when we can see what you can get toy hunting in the wild. AMAZING stuff! Absolutely brilliant finds - they are cute and FUN, and what life is about :) and don't get me started on the shipping costs for international orders :(
ReplyDeleteThat's why I have you to thank for posting these GREAT pictures and videos for our total enjoyment. Keep them coming Super-D CHEERS
Fantastic post and video Super-D! Some great goodies you got and i agree there is nothing like finding things in the "wild".
ReplyDeleteI might have to have do some looking for me sometime your way for some Masters of the Universe or those Buck O' Hare and Casey Jones figures am looking for once i have some extra cash if wouldn't mind doing that for me. : )
I picked a few of these, but stopped when the Action League figures started appearing. The Imaginext figures are pretty sweet, but I've to conserve shelf space.
ReplyDeleteAlthough... damn, that's a nice looking sub. Maybe if it were a tad more similar to the one in the Adam West Batman movie...
So true, I just checked the local market for some Imaginext figures. A set with Hawkman, Flash, Green Lantern and a Green Lantern ship is almost 100 dollars!
ReplyDeleteThat sub was really cool, Erin!
ReplyDeleteI've seen that set online Tom- very cool, but not "$100.00 cool"
Awesome video! I have to say that your area of the country sounds way better stocked than the desolate, empty-shelved wasteland of the Pacific Northwest.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I wish I had your hair. ;)
Keep doing these, I love them!
