FEXT System Street Diorama- Set A

I've had my eyes on this FEXT System street diorama for awhile, and finally pulled the trigger on it at Big Bad Toy Store this past week. I liked the FEXT Sci-Fi diorama I picked up in April quite a bit, so my expectations were high- that set was twenty bucks more than this street dio, so I figured it would be a little smaller, but I was pretty underwhelmed after assembling it. Three or four figures really crowd the 14.25 x 11" platform, and the 6.25" back wall looks small with your standard 1:12 scale figure up against it. It really needs to be twice the height for a decent background in my opinion; an additional background board will be needed to make the photography work. Another mild complaint would be the platform not wanting to lay completely flat, which I cannot seem to rectify...

Below, my FEXT System Sci-Fi 03 diorama completely dwarves, and was a much better value than the FEXT street dio. For maximum use, I'm of the opinion you need two or three of these street dioramas to combine for a larger background. Or even better, pick up a different set like the railway lobby set, to create a larger background for your figures. I'm unsure if I'll bother doing that, but if you are trying to photograph a group of five or more figures, you'll need the extra real estate.

Juicetin's Customs Action Figure Accessories

Just a quick post to recommend Juicetin's Customs, from whom I received some great product and customer service recently while getting some 3-D printed crates for my FEXT Sci-Fi diorama. I've loved using this set for my Marvel Legends and some Transformers the last few months, and was happy to find a little something to change up the space if I want. There are all kinds of accessories for your 1:12 scale action figures available from Juicetin's Customs, including weapons crates, coolers, cameras, weapons, powers and blast effects, and more.

What really drew me to Juicestin's Customs were the boomboxes I saw on his Instagram feed! I love the sculpt, and commissioned both a smaller one for my 6" Marvel Legends figures, and a larger one for my 12" Marvel Legends figures. I expect his repertoire will expand as time goes by, and saw some items made specifically for what's current in the action figure market, like a boat for the recent Mezco 1:12 scale Popeye. Definitely keep an eye on the custom accessories artist!

FEXT System Sci-Fi 03 Display Module

I bought this FEXT System Sci-Fi diorama off BigBadToyStore for more than I should have, but it was in stock and I paid with PayPal money I'd saved from selling off stuff in my own collection. Check out FEXT Hobby's website to see other sets they make. The set can be configured 10 different ways, several of which measuring 10.86 x 10.70 x 14.72", which fits in a standard detolf display cabinet- a great selling point for a lot of collectors, but not how I will utilize it.

I mainly bought this for use in photographing 6 and 7" figures, like all the Marvel Legends I'm behind on photographing. You'll be seeing a lot of this diorama in the background here at the Super-DuperToyBox in the future- be sure to check out my Instagram! Below are some shots of some of the Spider-Man figures I got in the Marvel Legends Demogoblin Wave...
