More Imaginext DC Super Friends!

I found a bunch of these 2021 carded Imaginext DC Super Friends figures at 1/2 price at Walmart, and though I've tripled(?) the number of Imaginext Batmen in my collection in the span of a couple weeks, I found another I needed. Like my Scarecrow 2-pk  Batman and my Bat Signal Multi-Pack Batman, this blue Batman has a translucent chest that can be lit from behind,

This Imaginext Batman is special because he looks like my Imaginext XL Defender Blue Batman:

This Mr. Freeze looks a little different that the others I've seen recently-
he reminds me a lot of the 6" Power Attack Ice Blast Mr. Freeze I used to have ...!

This is a cheery Batgirl!

Catwoman from my Bat Signal Multi Pack would make a good sparring partner!

I had a Flash in a 3-pk vehicle set with Green Lanter and Hawkman many years ago,
but this Flash is a little more dynamic in his color and sculpt..

The blind bag Superboy Prime I got recently doesn't have a translucent torso unfortunately,
but he pairs well with this Supergirl- their colors are quite complementary!

The sculpt on this Black Adam is really special, made more so by his black/gold deco- Wow!

But before you go, I also found this oddball/old stock  Batman/Man-Bat 2-pk as well.
They also have translucent torsos to light from behind...

It's crazy I had just found the new blind bag Man-Bat with the different deco...

And another Batman that is very much like the new blind bag Batman I just found ...!

I prefer the blind bag Batman more (left, but this light-up version has it's own appeal...

And just like that, I have an Imaginext collection again! I'll be on the lookout for any new/interesting DC Imaginext in the future- minifigs like these are fun to photograph!

Figures Toy Co. Batgirl & Catwoman

I've had this Figures Toy Co. Catwoman on ice for awhile now but decided to open her with the Batgirl I just got. Figures Toy Co. has been making replica Mego figures for a long time- I'm unsure if that came to an end with Mego's reemergence on the scene five years ago, but I have a few in my collection I've acquired from their eBay store. I buy my new Mego figures from ZLC Collectibles, Movie Posters Etc., and Absolutely Retro.

... and Batgirl takes a ride with my Mego 50th Anniversary Batman

My Mego 50th Anniversary Joker seems like a good partner in crime for Catwoman ...!

Looks like Batgirl will swoop down from above to help Batman and Robin apprehend Catwoman and Joker ...! Be sure to check out the Mego Museum online and take a trip back to the halcyon days of Mego and the World's Greatest Superheroes!

McFarlane Toys Batgirl

I didn't keep up with DC Comics too far past the first year or two of the New 52 relaunch, so I'm unfamiliar with Batgirl in context with this Art of the Crime version, published in 2019. Regardless, I loved to this new outfit, drawing from classic Batgirl elements, updated to make her seem fresh. Like the McFarlane Batman, Batgirl has a very dynamically pronounced cape, which isn't the preference of all collectors, but I like it. The updated chest emblem, doubling as a harness for a backpack hidden behind her cape, and utility belt are fantastic.

As I said in my last post on the recent McFarlane Batman & Nightwing, the action figure community is mixed on opinions regarding this first wave of DC figures, but I sincerely like the figures I have picked up. I loved the DCUC line by Mattel, but a lot of their recent figures just haven't interested me much. Aa a fan of the old DC Direct figures, the 7" scale didn't bother me, and the McFarlane figures have a little more depth in their sculpted detail and better articulation. And maybe a little more … well, style. I was also grateful for the return of the figure base- I hated when DC Collectibles and Mattel stopped including them.

Like the McFarlane Batman, Batgirl gets a grapple gun and batarang, but unique in design- McFarlane could have given them the same sculpt, but went the extra mile to give Barbara her own. Sure the grapple line is permanently affixed in a partially ejected state, but it would take little effort to customize that if one cared to. A sturdy collector card was also included with this figure, as well as one third of the "collect to build" Batmobile that Nightwing also came with. For the figures with these CNC parts, we are asked to pay an additional five bucks- as this holds little interest for me, I will sell mine on eBay to offset that extra cost.

Funko Dorbz Batman, Batgirl

With the 80th Year Anniversary of Batman this year, I've been a little nostalgic for my childhood favorite, so I thought I'd share these Funko Dorbz I've collected! While I'm a fan of Funko vinyl, these are the only 3" Dorbz I own: Walgreens Exclusive Gold Batman, Walmart Exclusive Zur-En-Arrh Batman, 75th Anniversary Purple Colorway Batman, and Walmart Exclusive TV Series Batgirl. DC Super Hero Girls 12" Wonder Woman & Batgirl

I know my friend Canadian Kal is into Monster High dolls, which these new DC Super Hero Girls remind me of a lot. They are full-on dolly, no doubt, which isn't typically a place I go, but there was no denying the great styling of the characters. They have a respectable amount of articulation, cloth outfits, and simple accessories. Also in this series are Poison Ivy, Bumblebee, Supergirl, and Harley Quinn. Anyone know where I can find a very small comb ...?   :D  Check out my video:

Batgirl with my 19" Jakks Pacific Big Fig Series Batman, and Wonder Woman with my 11.5"  Mattel New 52 Superman. I love the bright, happy colors of these toys together! Fun!
