Lincoln International Count Dracula & Frankenstein

I actually preordered this Blood-A-Rama Shock Fest 2-pk edition of the Lincoln Monsters Count Dracula and Frankenstein from White Elephant Toys in 2024. and as of today, you can still pick one up on Plaistallions.com. This modern revival of the Lincoln International Monsters line was coproduced by White Elephant Toyz, Plaid Stallions, and Absolutely Retro, and I hope to see more characters in the future- this is a small group of people and I'm certain an immense amount of work. My preorder included a Monster Club Kit, with certificate and art print. Cheap color copies, but fun nonetheless- made me smile!

I love the box art, particularly the side based on
the original Lincoln International character illustrations

Each figure came with an assortment of hands in the shade of green matching its corresponding figure, but who couldn't love the glow-in-the-dark hands best? So great! Thes modern reinterpretations come with sturdy S-type bodies with great articulation, and the outfits are top shelf- outstanding execution and more deluxe than some modern Mego figures I've bought. I've been happy with the White Elephant Toyz figures I've bought, and was thoroughly impressed with these.

Check out my YouTube short on these two:

Below, Lincoln Dracula with my Mego Bela Lugosi and Christopher Lee Dracula...

... and Lincoln Dracula with my Mego glow-in-the-dark Dracula ...

Below, Lincoln Frankenstein with my Mego Christopher Lee and Boris Karloff Frankenstein...

...and Lincoln Frankenstein with White Elephant Toys Teenage Bog Monster ...

I'd love to see a Lincoln International Wolfman, Mummy or Phantom in the future, but we'll have to wait and see. In the meantime, I'd take advantage while you can still get some of these- the quality in the figure and soft goods outfit are phenomenal! Recommended!

More White Elephant Toyz

It's been a couple years since I picked anything up from White Elephant Toyz, the main reason being the long, long wait for Gargon, King of Monsters. The Adventure Command line is based on an obscure offshoot of the G.I.Joe line from the '70s that I have no real attachment to- but my love for larger action figures with cloth outfits and accessories like Mego attracted me to this independently produced series of action figures.

Gargon is a pretty faithful reproduction of Super Joe's Gor, King of the Terrons, sans the light-up chest feature the original figure had. White Elephant Toyz also produced 100 glow-in-the-dark version with hot pink accessories, but I picked up the more traditional green version. The box art really captures the look of the 1970s blister cards of the Super Joe line. Mine was a little crushed in the top corner due to a slightly misaligned construction/fit, I believe, but I'm not too precious about that.

Gor from the Super Joe line didn't include all the accessories that Gargon does, which really make him a deluxe package. He comes with battle armor/helmet and club for warrior mode, and crown/scepter and laser pistol to battle as King Gargon. Like the Gor figure from the '70s, Gargon has pretty limited articulation- I'd have loved to have had the light-up chest, but that must have been cost prohibitive for such a boutique line of figures.

Gargon's shade of green goes perfectly with my Adventure Command Darkon ...!

I picked up a couple Adventure Command Science Division figures as well with the new jumpsuits, a Science Officer (green) and Mission Specialist (red). They both included nifty clear plastic amulets, pistols and knives. Love the vibrant colors on these figures...

Below, my Adventure Command team assembled with my Science officer and Mission Specialist- my first group of Super Joe Unlimited soldiersSilver Edition CommanderAgent-X2 Synthetic Humanoids and Atomic Mike... Be sure to visit 3DSuperJoes.com to see the original Super Joes like from '77-'78!

This Frightful Fiends Teenage Bog Monster is in a slightly different scale than the Adventure Command figures, but he'll fit in great with my Mego Horror figures. I know White Elephant produced a Mummy figure, and I did pick up a Lincoln Dracula and Frankenstein last year, but I'm usure if they produced all the figures featured on the cross-sell illustration on the back of the box.

...of course this Teenage Bog Monster glows in the dark ...!

Teenage Bog Monster with my Mego Creature form the Black Lagoon ...

And finally, I picked up an Atomic Apeman, also on the 1/9 scale "Type S" body like the Teenage Bog Monster. I actually have a few contemporary Mego Planet of the Apes figures in storage, a couple in this soldier uniform. There are several versions on White Elephant's website, but I liked "Gravitron's" blue hair!

Gravitron was bagged with Adventure Command accessories that he holds perhaps more securely than the slightly larger figures, and of course he glows in the dark- a feature I never tire of. What a fun action figure! I can imagine Gravitron was transformed by the same atomic waves that give the Teenage Bog Monster his glow, and that he is the boy's protector!

Super Joe Unlimited Silver Edt. Commander, Agent-X2 Synthetic Humanoid

I was pretty happy with my last Super-Joe Unlimited order from White Elephant Toyz, that I picked up the boxed Silver Edition Commander, and another clear synthetic Humanoid body and accessories to employ the silver Agent-X2 head I had. The new box art is collector-friendly with it's two-part plastic tray with no ties. I love the retro aesthetic of the whole presentation.

The Silver Edition Commander has a different chest insignia than my other Super-Joe soldiers, and his silver armor really makes him stand out as the leader my team needed! These were not inexpensive figures to be had, but they are beautiful- their toyetic, retro-appeal is really authentic.

My silver Agent-X2 head has a body again, after initially losing his to an extra Atomic Mike "Klone" head I had purchased with my last order. I ordered the olive flight suit and silver accessories again but opted for a gray tool belt instead of black.

It's funny, they look like they are in the band Devo, or are the artist duo Gilbert and George or something! I guess you could pretend these are good OR bad guys... android types, could go either way! A delightful pair, nonetheless- decked out in all their gear!

My Super Joe Unlimited collection more than doubled in size within just a couple weeks, but I'm really looking forward to adding Gor and Krusher! Darkon needs some more green teammates! Recommended!

Super Joe Unlimited Darkon, Agent-X2 Synthetic Humanoid, & Atomic Mike

White Elephant Toyz recently dropped more figures and accessories for their Super Joe Unlimited line, which initially impressed me so much, I had to get some more! Check out the video:

Darkon is the first deluxe boxed figure I've got from Super Joe Unlimited line, my first three purchased a la carte, head/body/armor/bodysuit. The box did not disappoint with it's retro charm, and in collector-friendly, without tape or ties in the covered plastic tray. Delightful! I'm hoping Gor and Krusher will be released soon!

I felt Darkon would be much cooler in White Elephant Toyz new flight suit for these 1/9 scale figures and a pair of their red "bullet boots" -his Dark Matter Armor fits over the flight suit fine.  I picked up other accessory packs with my last order as well, that included belts and extra weapons.

I bought a clear/gold Atomic Mike "Klone" head to switch with the silver "Agent-X2", but can't make up my mind which one to display, so I ordered another crystal body/jumpsuit/boots so I can enjoy both!

The new belts and jumpsuits fit the figures perfect- I picked up a black for Darkon and olive for the Atomic Mike Klone. The gray Super Joe/Big Jim weapons and silver "Space Walk" weapons packs give the figures tons of options. Recommended!

Super Joe Unlimited

I have zero recollection of/nostalgia for Hasbro's short-lived Super Joe Series from 1977, but the retro appeal of these updated Super Joe Unlimited figures was undeniable. Their toyetic aesthetic certainly appeals to a '70s/'80s kid who collects larger figures with soft goods outfits like Mego figures. After discovering White Elephant Toyz at the online Mego Museum, I compulsively purchased two! Check out the video:

I received all the parts from White Elephant Toyz individually bagged, as they are purchased from menu at their site. I also purchased the Obsidian Comic Weapons accessory pack with the longer sword, different pistol, and sun/star pendant. There were a variety of heads and other accessories available as well. The price for the two bodies and all the parts was $41.00 each, plus shipping, so they were not cheap, but the quality is fantastic. I was so impressed that I ordered a third figure in the darker skin tone. I'm looking forward to seeing what's coming next!

Initially disappointed at my misunderstanding regarding the scale of these 8.75" Super-Joes, incompatible with my 8" Mego figures or 9" Hasbro Marvel figures pictured below, their cool factor quickly won me over. They kind of exist in some super-fun universe unto themselves. Plus, more figures have yet to be released, including some alien characters. Recommended!
