FeedSpot Top 60 Action Figure Blogs 2025

Again, the Super-DuperToyBox made the FeedSpot 2025 Top Action Figure Blogs list! I'm pretty sure 2017 was the last time they contacted me for the accolade. FeedSpot is a targeted media contact list connecting vendors to the best bloggers for their marketing campaign. I've been contacted by a handful of companies to review/sample their product over the years, but few that I felt were a good fit. I still enjoy the long format of blogging, regardless of the shift to Instagram and YouTube the last many years- the Super-DuperToyBox gets a lot of views with over 1,200 posts from the last fifteen years.

If you represent a company that falls with my interests, namely DC/Marvel figures, Masters of the Universe or other 5.5" fantasy figures, Mego or other 8" figures, feel free to contact me.

Honorable shout out to She's Fantastic and Action Figure Barbeque- two blogs I thoroughly enjoy who also made the list! There are several more on the list we should all check out!

A Decade at the Super-DuperToyBox

It's hard for me to believe ten years went by so fast, but a decade ago today was my first post on the Super-DuperToyBox. In the summer of 2010 I was selling old toys on E-Bay, and soon found a listing for the 15" Kenner Darth Vader I had as a child. I bought him with the money I earned selling some of my wares, soon finding other toys that brought back childhood memories. Mattel's 8" D.C. Retro Action figures caught my eye quickly,  tapping my nostalgia for the old Mego World's Greatest Heroes line from the 70's. Shortly thereafter I discovered the 90's line of  Marvel Famous Covers 9" figures by ToyBiz that featured cloth outfits much like the old Megos. Before I knew it, I had bought more action figures and a glass curio case to hold them all. I became consumed!

Above: Table full of action figures I had collected in just the first couple months of toy blogging. (December 2010)

Along the way I befriended many a toy blogger I know to this day, and while many have abandoned this platform in favor of Instagram and YouTube, I keep the light on here. I like the long form personally, and after nearly 1,000 posts and well over 1.6 million page views, it's become a thing I'm somewhat proud of, visited by people worldwide every day. Cheers!

Juicetin's Customs Action Figure Accessories

Just a quick post to recommend Juicetin's Customs, from whom I received some great product and customer service recently while getting some 3-D printed crates for my FEXT Sci-Fi diorama. I've loved using this set for my Marvel Legends and some Transformers the last few months, and was happy to find a little something to change up the space if I want. There are all kinds of accessories for your 1:12 scale action figures available from Juicetin's Customs, including weapons crates, coolers, cameras, weapons, powers and blast effects, and more.

What really drew me to Juicestin's Customs were the boomboxes I saw on his Instagram feed! I love the sculpt, and commissioned both a smaller one for my 6" Marvel Legends figures, and a larger one for my 12" Marvel Legends figures. I expect his repertoire will expand as time goes by, and saw some items made specifically for what's current in the action figure market, like a boat for the recent Mezco 1:12 scale Popeye. Definitely keep an eye on the custom accessories artist!

Super-DuperToyBox eBay Clearance Sale!

Upon moving recently, I came to the conclusion that thinning the collection a little would make sense, so I began selling off some items that have been in my collection for some years. I plan to really dig in and unload some Marvel Legends, Marvel Select, Marvel Universe, DC Universe Classics, DC Action League, and DC Collectibles as time permits. For now, step on over to the Super-DuperToyBox eBay store to see what I've been working on recently- I'll likely post updates here on the blog from time to time as I upload new items for sale from my own personal collection. Sorry, Continental U.S. sales only. I don't plan on quitting the blog anytime soon, and just recently bought a bunch of cool new toys- I just wanted to downsize what I have, and make room for some new things that interest me. More to come!

Marvel Legends 12in. Iron Man

For awhile I think I knew I would buy this Iron Man, and after watching some YouTube reviews and seeing him on the shelves, I found a better price online and bit the bullet on him. I liked the Capt. America and Spider-Man, but ol' Shellhead was the one that interested me most. I have a respectable Iron Man collection, but it's mostly limited to MiniMates, Legos, and 3.75" and  6" action figures. I loved the movies and how it brought this great character to the forefront of the Marvel cinematic universe. I became obsessed with the character and have fond memories of  this time, my interest in comics renewed and this blog started. Check out my video:

For comparison, my 9" ToyBiz Famous Covers Series Iron Man, one of my favorite toys in my collection that also sports a Tony Stark head. I must say, the new 12" is now also top of the list among my most beloved Iron Man figures. Fun!

This post and video are dedicated to Glenn Webb, the best action figure YouTuber I've found out there- we will all miss your informative and hilarious videos and amazing custom figures. The purchase of this Legends Iron Man in this post was decided upon after watching one of Glenn's videos, in fact.  I didn't know you as some who mourn your passing, but the action figure community will be a little duller without you. Godspeed.

Hot Wheels Iron Man Car

And now for a little crossover action, take a spin over to our little brother blog, Super Fun Hot Wheels, and check out the Hot Wheels Iron Man car! I launched this blog back in June, and have had a fast time exploring the world of diecast cars- I think you will enjoy it as well....   ==O{+==}>O

Hey, Mr. Postman!

What could be more fun than toys in the mail? Not much, Friends, not much. I received a package from the lovely & talented Miss M- fellow toy blogger, voice actress/podcast personality, and fan fiction writer! Miss M apparently has a solid understanding of what I like, and sent some fun stuff! Correct, advise, or otherwise extrapolate on my rundown of what was in this box...

Hasbro Marvel Legends Ultimate Iron Man:
A 6" Iron Man I didn't have, with spiffy vac-metal red chest harness and removable helmet- also my only with the latter design feature. Rad! I haven't read Ultimate Iron Man, but I do like variant treatments of popular characters.

Toybiz Marvel Legends Cyclops and 5" ToyBiz Cyclops, Sabretooth, & Wolverine:
I am a big fan of the X-Men as well as ToyBiz action figures! Sabretooth's mouth opens & hands swing out when his legs are squeezed together, and Wolverine has retractable claws- these are the perfect play features for the characters!

ToyBiz Marvel Legends First Appearance Spider-Man:
I'm a HUGE Spider-Man fan since childhood, and love this Steve Ditko inspired version of Ol' Webhead. The old ToyBiz Legends figures had great articulation, this one with individually articulated fingers. This is what a great Spider-Man action figure looks like, People....

ToyBiz 5" Marvel Super Heroes Punisher, 4" Mattel DC Infinite Crisis Boomerang, and 4" Justice League Unlimited Hawkgirl:
I was fascinated by the Punisher since youth, and like this original comic version, white go-go boots and all! Miss M packed a couple DC characters in the box, the Infinite Crisis I had none of and  Boomerang the first I've ever inspected in person- he has some great detail for such a tiny figure. I love JLU figures, and am particularly fond of Hawkgirl in general. I'd probably fall head over heels for the girl if I joined the Justice League... Heroic Hottie!

And last but not least, this very detailed ToyBiz base from the Wave V Legends Colossus.  I'm pretty sure it's sculpted to emulate Sentinel wreckage, which should come in handy! Uncanny detail... !

Thanks for all the fun toys, Miss M! They look pretty happy here in the Super-DuperToyBox, don't they... ?  :)

Spider-Man 2099 Art Print by J.Alonzo Clark...

Met a great artist at Project Comic Con this past weekend, J. Alonzo Clark, and picked up a print of his- Spider-Man 2099! I'm a big fan of the character since I read Vol.1 of the Spider-Man 2099 TPB, and seeing his recent appearance in the Marvel NOW! Superior Spider-Man title had me excited all over again! Mr. Clark also makes custom helmets & shields, and is a cosplayer/actor and stuntman as well. His booth was impressive, and service done with a smile.  Check out his Facebook page for more images of this talented man's work and extraordinary costumes!

My Fan Art: Guardian Kal

"Guardian Kal"
14 x 20"
acrylic on 140 lbs. watercolor paper

Here's something different for me- fan art with a cyber mate in hero mode, our own Cal from the Cave of Cool!  I've felt for awhile that Cal would be an interesting subject, and a month ago I got the idea from a pic on his far-out blog with the bearded one peeking through the band on his headphones. It looked as though he were wearing some kind of visor, somehow sparking the thought of our shared enthsiasm for the modern Guardians of the Galaxy. His beard, the whole Cave of Cool mystique, and the many renderings done of him by artists & fellow bloggers who read his frequent postings just lent itself well to my imagination. I spelled his name with a "k" like Kal-El/Superman, as he is sometimes adressed. I imagine Kal recruited by Peter Quill/Starlord to join the reunited team, using his cool wits and raygun (The Fridge) to help battle the dread Dormammu to the death at the North Pole! ...or Manitoba? Or where our new recruit was weaned by wolves in Northern Quebec? So much to work with here, People...

Project: Comicon

I attended Project: Comicon at the Westport Plaza on Saturday- my first comicon ever! A lot of great talent in the world of comics has come out of St. Louis over the years, including the distinguished gentleman pictured next to me above, Denny O'Neill.   Writer and editor for Marvel and DC Comics in the 1960s, 70s, 80s, and 90s, O'Neil was remembered best from my childhood as Group Editor for the Batman family of books, which he worked on until his retirement. We also share a birthday  :)

I also met St. Louis native Rick Burchett, artist on the The Batman and Robin Adventures, Batman: The Gotham Adventures, and The All-New Batman: The Brave and the Bold- all done in that Bruce Timm animated style I love! Rick has also pencilled on Marvel Comics' She-Hulk, as well as titles for DC such as on Blackhawk, followed by titles like Batman, The Flash, Superman, Wonder Woman, The Justice League, and Green Lantern. Rick was great to talk to, looking up from his illustration of Robin & Huntress to answer my questions.

Below are a pencilled page from Rick's work on The All-New Batman: The Brave and the Bold, and a sweet colored version of the Classic Avengers!

Joe Dodd has worked for Marvel & DC Comics. He currently works for HASBRO INC. as a concept artist and illustrator! The packaging for all those zillions of Spider-Man toys you see everywhere?? Joe did all that! As a toy blogger, this was really interesting to me, and Joe was a real gentleman. Seeing some of the work on paper, out of context with the packaging, made me really appreciate the great talent that went into it.

Cullen Bunn was also in attendance- another St. Louisan, who has written for DC's "Batman/Superman", Marvel's recent "Hawkeye & Captain America", as well as his own books like The Sixth Gun and The Tooth. I run into Cullen occasionally, and he is always down to Earth for such an up and coming writer of great recent success.

One of my favorite comics retailers, the Fantasy Shop, was also on hand doing multiple raffles...

There were toys at the show, though I wasn't really blown away by what was there. It was all nice, but I have so many toys that taking another one home seemed pointless, LOL! That said, I did see this great Starro the Conqueror set that lit up and made sounds! This was an SDCC 10 exclusive of Mattel's Infinite Heroes scale figures battling a giant Starro in a package that tells the whole story in the voice of Kevin Conroy! While $90.00 may have been a great deal for this highly coveted collectible, I only allowed myself $100.00 for use at the 'Con. Check out Toysof OurYouth.Com!

I'd never heard of artist/writer Chris Giarusso, but his Mini Marvel's book caught my eye with its fun styling. He signed the book for me, which I already read and loved!  Chris has his own book, G-Man, illustrated in his unique and fun style. Printed in 6 x 9" like the Mini Marvels book, these little graphic novels tell the adventures of a boy and his magic cape- I'll be on the look out for that! Chris had a few knock-out posters at his table, spoofs of classic comic covers done in his style. I picked up one fashioned after The of Brave and the Bold #28 cover from 1960, which Chris graciously signed for me...

There were a TON of comics at all different price ranges at Project: Comicon! From 50 cents up to classic issues costing hundreds of dollars, there was more than I could take in during one visit! Paradise!

I filled my bag with the trade paperbacks I found at vendors taking 50% or more off. Though I've done some heavy duty comics shopping while on vacation this past two weeks, I knew there would be some good deals on stuff I hadn't seen at my usual haunts. Along with Giarusso's Mini Marvels: Secret Invasion, I picked up War of Kings, Heroes Reborn: Captain America & Heroes Reborn: The Avengers, Marvel Team-up: Freedom Ring, and Secret Invasion. Yeah, all Marvel- I know. Just turned out that way. I had a great time at this small, yet personal, local Comicon- a great first-time for me, and great way to end my vacation.

Action Figure Blues Podcast!

Finally got a chance to listen to the Action Figure Blues Podcast last night, which made me laugh out loud several times  :D   You can download their episodes FREE at iTunes, send feedback, ask questions, and rate each episode.  I joined the Action Figure Blues Forum awhile back, where additional mirth and camaraderie can be enjoyed by comics/actionfigure/sci-fi/popculture enthusiasts like yourself- I recommend you do the same!

Martian Nativity

Pictured above is my submission to this year's action figure nativity photo contest at Hey, Look At My Toys! Reis put the word out a month ago, and I sent my submission this past Saturday night! I knew I didn't want to do anything with a manger, hay, animals, etc... I just wanted it to be completely reimagined. While I'm unsure if it was successful as a nativity scene, it was certainly different   :D    But it's a Martian Nativity, so who knows what that looks like?? I thought the colors were sufficiently "Christmassy", and had fun taking pics on Saturday night  :)    Here are a few outtakes from my photo session:

Swing by Hey, Look At My Toys!, check out all the really fun entries, & vote for your favorite  :)
Merry Christmas!
