Mattel 11.5" Superman

I was on the fence about this tall, "highly poseable" Superman for awhile. but finally caved- at ten bucks he's a good value, and much more fun up close out of the box. There isn't a series branding on the box of these larger Mattel DC figures, putting them in the "evergreen" category, a Batman, Robin, Joker, and Riddler also released recently in the same format. 

I love a big, dumb action figure! Mattel Superman with my Bandai Dino Charge Power Ranger, Toybiz Marvel Universe Captain Marvel, and Hasbro Titan Series Iron Patriot...

These DC evergreen boast 9 points of articulation on the box, four more than Hasbro's Marvel Titan Series, which I'm also a fan of. Superman can do a little more than the Titan figures, including a standing kick with those hinged-swivel hips. The shoulders and elbows have similar articulation, and his wrists are also swiveled. The "S" shield isn't printed on back of the cape, but they did keep the New 52 shape of it, pointed in center on the cape's tail. He's simple in color and sculpt, but has some nice panel detail in the boots and body suit.

The blue on this figure is a lighter shade than the other Mattel New 52 Supermen in my collection... pictured below with Imaginext Superman, Total Heroes Superman, and Justice League Superman...

This new Superman looks a lot like my DC Collectibles New 52 Superman, one of my favorites...
