Something came in the mail for me today! What do you think it is?? Why, it was a toy of course, Kids... a Mattel ShadowTek Hawkman, to be exact :D
Hawkman's wings each snap together onto a slotted peg on his back, which only confounded me for a minute, afterwhich they stayed securely in place. Upon further inspection, I must say they look a lot like chocolate angel wings due to their brown, waxy appearance :D I'm unsure if grey would've been a better color, as I've seen that look somewhat flat on other Hawkman figures... perhaps a sharper sculpt?
This is a great toy! The chest emblem, winged mask, and red mace are so cool! It's hilarious and FUN, like a toy should be :D I had a ball taking pictures of this guy!
The Justice League figures for this line were AWESOME :) we want more! we want more! we want more! thanks for sharing super-D
ReplyDeleteHe is all sorts of awesome! Congrats Super-D. : )
ReplyDeleteI love the styling. That is what's so great about that show, and others like it. Not only is the figure nice looking, but he was voiced by the T-1000!! Nice score!!
ReplyDeleteI found this guy at a toy show a couple years ago and I love him! There were a couple sweet Batmen (and a super cool Batgirl) in this line too, as well as some neat takes on some villains.
ReplyDeleteEven AzBats made an appearance, sort of: http://toyriffic.blogspot.com/2008/12/azrael-or-is-it-memorex.html
oh Yeah! I like that one Bubba! Yes I've seen the Batgirl- saw a couple episodes, one with Harley Quinn & Joker (Tow of a Kind) that was a riot! Fun show!
ReplyDeleteThat Hawkman is SO BOSS. I need to find that now. I love the style of the entire Brave and the Bold line. And as usual, great photography.
ReplyDeleteMy son grabbed this Hawkman and the Green Lantern when they first came out....nice addition to your collection!
ReplyDeleteThis thing looks awesome! Going to have to find one for myself now. Never even saw it on the shelves here in the Philippines when the line was out.
