I mentioned a few posts ago that I landed a DC Universe Classic Superman, and here he is. He wasn't really top of my list as I have something like eight or nine Superman figures, but I won him loose for $7.99 on E-Bay, so... His face isn't my favorite
Superman face, somehow...?? In retrospect I'm glad I got him, especially at that price. I mean, he is the cornerstone of the DC Universe, so now he's here at home with the (laughs)

Next to Detective Batman, he's one of my faves of the Classics lines. Love the lighting in that last pic btw!
ReplyDeleteI can see why he wouldn't have your favorite face. There is just something off about it. Although the lighting in the last picture is perfect, and makes the figure look great! The only problem I've had with figures in the last 15+ years is...why the hell are the capes plastic?! I believe any figure with a cape, should have a cloth cape.
ReplyDeleteAnd after reading that you have 8 or 9 Supes', I realize that I do not own a single one. Maybe getting one Superman figure this year should be a tiny collecting goal for me.
A cloth cape is hard to do a "crisp" representation of in that scale, though my 6" DC Direct First Appearance Superman has a really nice cloth cape- but he is not as sharply cut as the DCUCs. While I love the DCUCs, and have beecome used to the plastic cape, I DO love a cloth cape- that's what my dolly collection is for :D
