Plexi Display Boxes

Jcee asked where to find a plexi box like the one encasing my Marvel Select Captain Marvel a couple posts back.  They are maufactured by Pioneer, and I buy mine at Hobby Lobby- they can be found in the model kits aisle. While these are made primarily for model cars, it can be turned on it's end and used as a doll case, as portrayed on the packaging. They even include two rubber bumpers to place on the underside of the box to make level when positioned vertically.

I always wait for a coupon to get these- Hobby Lobby has a 40% off any single item coupon on their website at least once a month. A large 15 x 7 x 7" goes for $14.99, but after the coupon it was $8.99.  I just got another large one like this for my DC Direct Sinestro, and want to get one for my 1:6 GL Corps as well. I have a glass toys case that has a few of my DC Direct 1:6 dolls, but they really take up a lot of room in there. With these acrylic boxes I can keep them out in the main room of my apartment without fear of them getting dusty, and move them around with ease. I change the toys out once in awhile for fun, and they look really cool in the boxes...

  5. Sweet! I have a Hobby Lobby not far from me! I might have to go and pick a couple of these up for my Universal Monsters figures.

  8. Well, they are make to stack horizontally (with a car inside- I probably wouldn't stack them vertically unless their backs were butted up against a wall- too tall/not stable enough. ALSO- CHECK THE SIZE OF YOUR TOY to make sure it will fit- there are many sizes.
