Super Joe Unlimited Silver Edt. Commander, Agent-X2 Synthetic Humanoid

I was pretty happy with my last Super-Joe Unlimited order from White Elephant Toyz, that I picked up the boxed Silver Edition Commander, and another clear synthetic Humanoid body and accessories to employ the silver Agent-X2 head I had. The new box art is collector-friendly with it's two-part plastic tray with no ties. I love the retro aesthetic of the whole presentation. 

The Silver Edition Commander has a different chest insignia than my other Super-Joe soldiers, and his silver armor really makes him stand out as the leader my team needed! These were not inexpensive figures to be had, but they are beautiful- their toyetic, retro-appeal is really authentic.

My silver Agent-X2 head has a body again, after initially losing his to an extra Atomic Mike "Klone" head I had purchased with my last order. I ordered the olive flight suit and silver accessories again but opted for a gray tool belt instead of black. 

It's funny, they look like they are in the band Devo, or are the artist duo Gilbert and George or something! I guess you could pretend these are good OR bad guys... android types, could go either way! A delightful pair, nonetheless- decked out in all their gear!

My Super Joe Unlimited collection more than doubled in size within just a couple weeks, but I'm really looking forward to adding Gor and Krusher! Darkon needs some more green teammates! Recommended!

Super Joe Unlimited Darkon, Agent-X2 Synthetic Humanoid, & Atomic Mike

White Elephant Toyz recently dropped more figures and accessories for their Super Joe Unlimited line, which initially impressed me so much, I had to get some more! Check out the video:

Darkon is the first deluxe boxed figure I've got from Super Joe Unlimited line, my first three purchased a la carte, head/body/armor/bodysuit. The box did not disappoint with it's retro charm, and in collector-friendly, without tape or ties in the covered plastic tray. Delightful! I'm hoping Gor and Krusher will be released soon!

I felt Darkon would be much cooler in White Elephant Toyz new flight suit for these 1/9 scale figures and a pair of their red "bullet boots" -his Dark Matter Armor fits over the flight suit fine.  I picked up other accessory packs with my last order as well, that included belts and extra weapons.

I bought a clear/gold Atomic Mike "Klone" head to switch with the silver "Agent-X2", but can't make up my mind which one to display, so I ordered another crystal body/jumpsuit/boots so I can enjoy both!

The new belts and jumpsuits fit the figures perfect- I picked up a black for Darkon and olive for the Atomic Mike Klone. The gray Super Joe/Big Jim weapons and silver "Space Walk" weapons packs give the figures tons of options. Recommended!

Brave & The Bold Happy Meal Premiums

I have many of the Batman: The Brave and The Bold line, styled after the animated show that aired on Cartoon Network from 2008 -2011. It had been awhile since I posted on my collection of these, but I had started picking up loose figures recently, including some of these McDonald's Happy Meal premiums. There were smaller figures without articulation offered, and larger figures with action features released in another, separate wave. I've posted on two other Brave and The Bold fast-food premiums in the past, Blue Beetle and Plastic Man- both of which were super fun!

 

I loved how the show stylized Green Arrow in his Silver-Age outfit, with red boots and gloves- in April I posted on the 9" Green Arrow that Hasbro produced in 1999 wearing that outfit, circle back and check him out:

Brave & The Bold Batman Figures

 Batman: The Brave and The Bold was a line styled after the animated show that aired on Cartoon Network from 2008 -2011. I was late to the party when I started collecting them in 2013, but could easily find the continued line on retail pegs ten years ago. It had been awhile since I posted on my collection of these, but I had started picking up loose figures recently, eventually finding this Attack Blade Batman.

I love the deco of this Batman, including his vac-metal chest- the attack blade accessory is mildly cumbersome, but I love the ported limbs concept, interchangeable with the other figures accessories. While I have several figures from this line still on card, it had been a decade since I opened one of these...

I'd been buying loose variants of Batman from this line, including the blue/light gray below, holding an unrelated sword accessory that I also picked up on eBay just for fun. I'm not sure how this variant was sold, but the darker variant nest to him was sold as Aqua Jet Batman with a nautical backpack accessory that fires a missile.

At first glance, the Aqua-Jet Batman accessory is clunky and useless, but the ports on the limbs of these figures opens a lot of modular possibilities. I still feel this was the genius of the Brave and The Bold toy line...

All these blue/gray Batman variants reminded me of my chunky Mattel DC Super Friends Batman, below/center. Flanking this lineup are my Stealth Strike Gear-Up Batman and Battle Axe Batman ...

The Chainsaw Attack Batman below/right was new to my collection- he included a more clunky "deluxe" accessory at retail, but I picked up a Battle-Saw accessory for this loose sample on eBay. He pairs well with the Super Saber Batman I also found loose on eBay...

My Smashing Axe Batman also had a shoulder pauldron ....

I have a Super Saber Batman still on card, as well as a Medieval Batman- a repaint of the former with updated "Snap Attack" branding. The Brave & the Bold line morphed throughout it's run, also labeled "Total Armor" and "Stealth Strike" before Mattel removed the B&TB branding entirely, abandoning the accessory ports entirely and releasing "Justice League" figures in the same scale/styling in spring of 2013.

All of these were great additions to my Batman: The Brave and The Bold collection- it's fun to dig back in the collection and see what I've kept over the years, and this was one of those lines I really loved! While Batman: The Animated Series was roundly lauded by fans and critics, Batman: The Brave and The Bold may have been my favorite animated Batman show- it dug deep into the DC character roster and was super fun! Recommended!

Marvel Legends Disney+ Infinity Ultron Wave

I've had this Marvel Legends Disney+ Wave on ice since the end of last year, having preordered it right after solicitation in 2022. Moon Knight and Mr. Knight figures were certainly of interest to me, Moon Knight being features in issue #22 of Peter Parker: Spectacular Spider-Man, one of the first comics I remember from childhood. I later read several issues of the Marvel NOW! Moon Knight, which influenced the more deeply explored multiple personalities aspects of the Disney+ character. I enjoyed the supernatural aspects of the Disney+ show but longed for some street-level crime fighting found in the earlier Moon Knight interpretations. These are two beautifully sculpted figures...

I may like the Hawkeye and Kate Bishop figures more than I did the Disney+ show, but I like Jeremy Renner's portrayal of the character and was entertained. I should read the Kate Bishop Hawkeye books Marvel has released; they receive high praise.

Hawkeye with some other versions of MCU Clint Barton, Avengers Endgame Hawkeye and Ronin. I stupidly sold off my original Avengers Hawkeye years ago, and regret it...

I'm' not sure how much I remember of Sharon Carter's role in Falcon and the Winter Soldier, but this is a solid figure- her knife accessory is lazy, unpainted, and flimsy, but the nightstick has some detail. The layered hoodie under trench coat outfit was well executed.

I am a big fan of She-Hulk, due in large part to John Byrne's Sensational She-Hulk and liked many aspects of the recent Disney+ show based on that interpretation. This may have been the most anticipated figure of the wave for me, and she is pretty fantastic. A more useful set of alternate hands and an extra/angry head would have been nice, but She-Hulk is a beautiful figure.

I still haven't seen the Disney+ Ms. Marvel Show, so my enthusiasm for getting this figure was probably less than the others, but she did turn out good, and really looks like a kid...

I thought this Infinity Ultron BAF would be larger, but the main disappointment was his bent, rubbery lance- I hate Hasbro's use of soft rubber for weapons/accessories- these are adult collectibles for crying out loud! Otherwise, I really like the sculpt/paint deco on this deluxe Ultron.

This was a spectacular wave of MCU Marvel Legends, the two characters I cared a little less about still commendable offerings. I still haven't seen Ms. Marvel, but the rest of the shows represented in this wave were entertaining overall. I don't often plunk down for an entire wave of Marvel Legends, especially after recent price hikes, but this group was exceptional.
